• Received degree in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University in 1979.
  • Attended The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois and graduated with honors in 1981.
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and the State of Missouri since 1982. Admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri and the Southern District of Illinois as well as the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
  • Argued cases in the trial and appellate courts for both the State of Missouri and the State of Illinois including the Illinois Supreme Court. He has also tried cases in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois and Eastern District of Missouri. Argued before the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals in St. Louis, Missouri.
  • Member of the Bar Associations for the State of Missouri and Illinois, as well as the local Bar Associations for Cape Girardeau County, Missouri and Alexander-Pulaski County, Illinois. Member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.


  • Mark’s activities include golf, snow skiing, skydiving, martial arts and on and off-road motorcycling. In fact, Mark currently holds a black belt in Tai Kwan Do. At age 16 he became a professional motocross rider acquiring the national number eleven plate in the 125cc class in 1977 while in his junior year of college. He took up the game of golf at age twenty-six (26), competing in numerous amateur golf tournaments in the State of Illinois and Missouri. In 1999 he was named the Southern Illinois Golf Association player of the year and was one of three individuals selected from the State of Illinois to represent Illinois in the United States Golf Association’s State Team Championships in Williamsburg, Virginia.
  • Mark and his wife, Kathy are both avid on and off-road motorcyclists. They have toured Italy, New Zealand, Spain, Portugal and Morocco on a motorcycle. Mark has one daughter Lauren. Mark and Kathy also founded and devote their time and resources to a charitable foundation named after Kathy’s deceased son, Bronson, for the benefit of disabled children.
